We’re looking for a dependable and detail-oriented staff accountant to support the firm’s day-to-day financial operations. In this role, you’ll manage core accounting responsibilities such as bi-weekly payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable support, and bank reconciliations—helping ensure the firm’s financial processes run smoothly and consistently. This position is a great fit for someone who values structure, takes pride in accuracy, and enjoys owning repeatable processes.
You’ll work independently while collaborating closely with the Controller, following established procedures and knowing when to ask questions or elevate issues, while supporting the firm’s continued growth and operational stability. - Process bi-weekly payroll for over 80+ employees (Paylocity preferred; ADP experience welcome)
- Manage full-cycle accounts payable
- Support accounts receivable and cash application
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations
- Maintain accurate financial records
- Follow documented SOPs and contribute to process improvement where appropriate.
- 3+ years of hands‑on accounting experience
- Accounting degree preferred
- Payroll processing experience required
- Proficient in Excel and familiar with Deltek or similar-based accounting software
- Aptitude for learning and navigating accounting software systems
- Strong attention to detail, consistency, and process discipline
- AEC or professional services experience preferred but not required
