Staff Accountant

MyStaff is partnering with a well-established, mission-driven nonprofit organization in the Omaha/Council Bluffs area to add an Accountant to their team. What You’ll Be Doing:

• Manage general ledger activity and ensure account accuracy
• Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Assist in preparing financial statements and internal reports
• Process payroll and related journal entries
• Help with annual budget preparation and audit support
• Analyze financial data and build Excel-based reports
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold strict financial confidentiality
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and support leadership initiatives

What We’re Looking For:

• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger functions
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP)
• Net Suite experience is required for consideration
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
• Comfortable working in a team-focused, values-driven environment
