MyStaff is excited to parnter with a local mid-sized property management company in Omaha, NE, specializing in property management and leasing. Our growing team is looking for a Property Accountant to manage financials, ensure accurate reporting, and support property operations. We offer a full time role with opportunities for career growth and development.
Key Responsibilities- Process rent payments, lease escalations, CAM (Common Area Maintenance) reconciliations, and tenant billings.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for assigned properties.
- Review lease agreements and ensure financial accuracy in reporting.
- Work closely with property managers and landlords to resolve lease-related discrepancies.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting for property expenses and revenue.
- Perform variance analysis and provide financial insights.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Experience: 2+ years of lease or property accounting experience highly preferred, preferably in real estate or property management.
- Technical
Skills:
Yardi (required), Microsoft Excel, and financial reporting tools. - Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP, lease accounting principles, and property finance.
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and in a team.
