An excellent opportunity for an experienced Buyer to join a large, well-established engineering and manufacturing organisation that has undergone major investment and expansion in recent years. This role goes beyond transactional purchasing; you’ll play a key part in cost control, supplier performance and stock optimisation within a global manufacturing group known for delivering engineered equipment worldwide.

• Lead day-to-day purchasing activity, managing suppliers and securing best value across mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and fabricated components.
• Oversee stock control and replenishment to maintain optimal inventory levels and prevent production delays.
• Analyse purchasing, supplier and inventory data to drive improvements and reduce supply chain risk.

• 3–5 years’ experience in procurement / buying (minimum 3 years in a buying role), ideally within engineering or manufacturing.
• Strong systems capability, confident using ERP platforms and interpreting procurement and production data.
• Commercially astute, detail-focused and comfortable working cross-functionally with engineering, planning and production teams.
