Support Worker - Learning Disability/Mental Health

Reserve List for Permanent/Temporary, Part-time/Full-Time and Reserve List
Railway Court is a supported living accommodation giving support and care for up to 23 tenants with mild to moderate learning disabilities. It is situated centrally within Omagh. Railway Court provides 24-hour staff support services, 365 days a year supporting tenants to develop skills and get involved in day-to-day decision making.
Essential Criteria- QCF/NVQ 2 Health and Social Care or equivalent
- 6 months experience in a formal care/support role
* and previous experience of working with individuals with learning disabilities/ mental health issues. - Must be currently registered with NISCC or if new to the sector must achieve registration within 6 months.
- Previous experience in administrative duties.
- Or 2 years' experience in a formal care /support role
* and previous experience of working with individuals with Learning Disabilities/ Mental Health issues. - Must be currently registered with NISCC or if new to the sector must achieve registration within 6 months
- Previous experience in administrative duties.
- Must be willing to work towards the completion of relevant qualification.
- Formal Care / Support may include caring at home, where the carer is in receipt of Carers Allowance. Formal Care / Support may also include voluntary work in a formal setting.
This is a regulated post and will be subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Access NI check. Please refer to attached link:
