Experienced Payroll & Accounts Assistant

Vanrath are delighted to be working with a growing company based in Omagh that has expanded significantly in recent years and continues to strengthen its finance function. Due to continued growth, the organisation is seeking an experienced Payroll & Accounts Assistant to join their supportive and dynamic finance team, reporting directly to the Financial Controller.

Payroll
- Maintain and update employee records, processing starters and leavers
- Manage payroll updates including overtime, bonuses, pensions and statutory payments (SMP/SSP)
- Monitor time and attendance systems and resolve payroll queries
- Produce absence and sickness reports for HR
- Support payroll administration and compliance deadlines
Accounts
- Manage purchase ledger and supplier payments
- Post invoices and reconcile statements on Sage 50
- Reconcile bank accounts (UK and ROI)
- Prepare monthly summaries and assist with VAT submissions
- Support general finance administration and reporting
- Minimum three years' payroll experience within a large organisation
- Strong Sage Payroll and Sage 50 Accounts experience
- Experience managing purchase ledger functions
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to meet strict payroll, VAT and month-end deadlines
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Payroll/finance qualifications desirable; experience with time and attendance systems advantageous
