We are now recruiting an experienced Security Supervisor at the Hilton London Olympia. As Security Supervisor you will patrol, monitor, and observe security procedures to ensure a safe Guest and Member experience at the hotel while investigating theft and managing instances of undesirable behaviour. As this is a large and busy hotel we require an experienced security professional confident in their abilities with a professional manner.
An SIA licence and CCTV training is required.
Please note shift work will be required with flexibility around working evenings and weekends.
What will I be doing?As a Security Supervisor, you are responsible for monitoring staff & guest entrances, patrolling on a regular basis, and managing undesirable behaviour to deliver a safe Guest and Member experience. A Security Supervisor will also be required to support investigate theft and support evacuation procedures. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Monitor and ensure daily access control for guests, staff, and visitors, ensuring proper identification in place
- Conduct regular searches of bags, etc. carried by members of staff and report discrepancies or violations immediately
- Maintain system that records the issue and receipt of departmental keys
- Operate, check and monitor the CCTV system
- Patrol the hotel on a regular basis ensuring fire walks take place and are recorded whilst on shift
- Monitor suspicious packages and be aware of bomb and terror threat procedures
- Ensure hotel facilities and function rooms remain secure and locked when not in use
- Maintain the Security Log Book and Incident Reports
- Support Investigation and report all allegations of theft, criminal damage and other incidents
- Manage undesirable behaviour in a professional manner, intervening and defusing potential altercations
- Report any maintenance or hazard issues to the Managers on duty
- Implement and monitor security policies, protocols, and procedures to safeguard guests, employees, and hotel assets.
- When on shift, coordinate and lead of the hotel’s emergency response plan for incidents like fire, theft, accidents, or natural disasters.
- Serve as the primary contact for law enforcement, emergency services, and any third-party security agencies when on site
- Conduct regular emergency drills (fire, evacuation, etc.) and train staff on security protocols and procedures.
- Investigate and report any incidents of suspicious activity, theft, or disturbances in a timely manner
- Identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities within the hotel’s operations and suggest preventive measures.
- Implement strategies to prevent property damage, theft, and financial losses.
