Vanguard Laboratory is a small, family-owned
startup
analytical lab in Olympia, WA. We analyze food, agricultural, drinking water, environmental samples and a diverse portfolio of peptides, SARMs/SERMs, nootropics, and supplement actives. Accredited by WA Dept. of Ecology and A2LA ISO/IEC 17025. We’re tight-knit, collaborative, and relentlessly improvement-driven.

We are looking for a candidate that is motivated to grow and excel with our team. We are a tight knit group, dedicated to the success and excellence of the laboratory.

This position is entry-mid level and a great choice for someone wanting to gain experience in a laboratory.

You must be highly motivated, proactive and take initiative. You must be comfortable taking on multiple roles and be able to pivot to different methods and projects.

Candidate will be responsible for sample prep, chemical analyses, & data analysis.

Experience with instrumentation and methods preferred, but we are willing to train the right individual. A degree in chemistry, microbiology, environmental science, physics, or related preferred.

What You’ll Do
  • Prep and analyze samples for GC-FID, HPLC, IC, ICP-MS, UV/VIS, or microbiological analysis
  • Ability to learn and become competent on complex instrumentation including but not limited to gas chromatography, gas chromatography/mass spectrometry, ICP, and instrument specific data systems.
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of all procedures performed in the department and insure these procedures comply with USP, ISO, & NELAC standards
  • Contribute directly to the growth and expansion of the company Our team is dedicated to constant improvement, and is always working on new methods, and ways to optimize current methods. You will have the opportunity to develop and validate new methods within the parameters of ISO 17025

We’re open 8:30–5:30, Mon–Fri
