Job SummaryResponsible for food preparation and for opening, maintaining, cleaning, and closing the Team Member Dining Room (TDR).
Essential Functions of the Job- Knowledge of departmental Guest Service Standards.
- Knowledge of casino promotions.
- Prepare both TDR and Main Kitchen food items for daily service.
- Cold and hot wells are kept clean and well maintained throughout shift.
- Responsible for all food items being rotated.
- Monitor food temperatures on all hot and cold foods.
- Ensure food quality and quantity in food service area.
- Communicate with Main Kitchen regarding updates and menu changes.
- Responsible for all food items and paper products being stocked in the TDR.
- Clean all areas of kitchen and TDR to maintain the highest standards of food, equipment and facility sanitation.
- Ensure work areas are in compliance with OSHA and HACCP health and safety standards and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 1 year of experience in a kitchen facility.
- Food Handlers Permit.
- Current knowledge of occupational safety issues and food safety guidelines.
- Pass NRWC pre-employment testing.
- Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to obtain a Class II gaming license.
- Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, squat and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for assigned shift.
- Ability to tolerate a noisy, smoke-filled environment.
