Overview
Assistant Manager at Applebee's Neighborhood Grill + Bar. This role supports day-to-day restaurant operations and leads the team to deliver a great guest experience.
Responsibilities- Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines and unit objectives.
- Cultivates a culture aligned with Flynn Applebee's core values.
- Responds promptly to guest concerns and communicates with staff to resolve issues.
- Manages guest contact via required table visits and maintains inventory levels.
- Performs line checks to ensure product preparation and presentation meet standards.
- Effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands.
- Maintains safety, security, cleanliness, and sanitation in the restaurant.
- Performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs to the General Manager/Area Director.
- Participates in recruitment and training of team members and managers.
- Supports development of staff through orientation, training, meetings, and policy implementation.
- Monitors performance, provides feedback, and supports employee development.
- Ensures compliance with policies, practices, and legal requirements.
- Controls costs within assigned department; drives inventories as requested.
- Prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork.
- Adheres to sanitation standards and health regulations.
- Demonstrates leadership and uses store technology effectively.
- Willing to work in all restaurant positions as needed.
- Uses the Management Development Program for leadership growth.
- At least 2-3 years of restaurant management experience
- Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications are a plus
Applebee's Assistant Managers: $17.48 to $25 per hour (approximately $50,000 to $71,500 annually based on a 50-hour work week). Potential for location-based monthly bonuses. Benefits include competitive wages, profit sharing/bonus, medical/dental/vision, HSA, disability, life, 401k with match, paid vacation and sick leave. PTO accrual scales with tenure; prorated PTO for part-time managers. Eligible for profit share bonuses.
Physical Standards- Work varied shifts, including weekends.
- Stand and move for up to 10 hours.
- Lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Read and write; manual dexterity for small tools and equipment.
