Overview
Forensic Nurse Examiner (FNE/SANE) works under the supervision of the FNE/SANE Supervisor and Sexual Assault Clinic Medical Director, with orders from the Emergency Department Provider, to provide independent, comprehensive care to adults and adolescents presenting to the Emergency Department with acute sexual assault and/or non-fatal strangulation.

Responsibilities- Provide independent, comprehensive care to patients in the Emergency Department with acute sexual assault and/or non-fatal strangulation, following established protocols.
- Collaborate with supervision and ED providers to ensure accurate assessment and appropriate care plans for adults and adolescents.
- Adhere to clinical standards and ensure patient safety, privacy, and dignity throughout examinations and care.
- Participate in team-based care, including coordination with the Sexual Assault Clinic and other services as needed.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
- 1 year of nursing experience.
