POSITION OBJECTIVE:

The IT Director is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership of all information technology functions to support the Nisqually Red Wind Casino’s gaming and enterprise systems. This role ensures the integrity, security, and availability of all technology platforms while maintaining strict regulatory compliance. The IT Director drives innovation and continuous improvement through the adoption of emerging technologies that enhance guest experience, streamline operations, and support the Nisqually Red Wind Casino’s growth and competitive advantage withing the gaming industry.

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for overseeing daily operations of Information Technology. This individual will plan, direct, coordinate and provide direction to subordinate administrators, as well as assist subordinate administrators in their daily duties. The IT Director will work closely with managers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost‑effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. Direct department Team Members through subordinate supervisors in the development and implementation of all department projects and responsibilities.

Analyze and resolve or recommends solutions to complex or unusual guest service problems and issues. This person will also work closely with the Executive Director team with defining and implementing IT policies, procedures, best practices, and any applicable regulations. Responsible for ensuring efficient maintenance and performance of company wide network systems, supervision of IT Administrators.

Requirements QUALIFICATIONS Required skills and knowledge:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field of study.
  • Five (5) years of networking experience installing and managing Windows network software and using the latest technology to plan, design and implement LANs and WANs.
  • Five (5) years of infrastructure management experience.
  • Experience in a Class II/III gaming network environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to safeguard confidential information
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team.
  • Possess excellent decision‑making skills.
  • Must have knowledge of proper procedures for working in and around regulated and secure operational areas.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of emerging and changing technologies.
  • Excellent guest service skills.
  • Certifications with Microsoft Networking, including Current Windows OS and Active Directory (MCSE/MCSA). Cisco certifications as applicable.
  • Pass NRWC pre‑employment testing.
  • Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to obtain a Class III Gaming License
Preferred skills and knowledge:
  • Certification in Red Wind’s “Service First” Program
  • Master’s degree in related field of study.
  • Familiar with the hospitality industry and change management.
  • IT related certifications. For example:
    CompTIA, CCNA/CCA, CISSP (cybersecurity certification preferred).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time and move from area to area.
