Youropportunity at a glance
We are hiring a strong technology and people leader to lead our technology resources and inspire our teams. The Chief Information Officer will contribute to the agency strategy and set short- and long-range plans for WSLCB’s technology strategy, balancing innovation, resource allocation, risk management and alignment with agency priorities.
The CIO will grow and nurture a culture of collaboration, service, and continuous improvement for a division of 46 staff, including six direct reports. The position is an appointing authority and manages a $16 million biannual operating budget, contracts, and vendor management.
The CIO is accountable for ensuring WSLCB’s technology infrastructure, applications, data, information management, security, and compliance program. The role provides executive IT sponsorship and support for major projects, including the agency’s custom licensing, education, enforcement and administrative data system.
Key services include systems analysis, application development, SaaS maintenance, software quality assurance, storage administration, network administration, security, telephony, desktop support and customer support. The CIO represents the agency with external partners in the public and private sectors.
Primary ResponsibilitiesSupports Agency Mission and Establishes Technology Strategy
- The CIO develops and executes information technology strategic plans, resource allocation, and risk management to align services, products, and projects with agency goals and statewide IT policy.
- Responsible for the execution and oversight of design, development, operation, and support of IT systems and programs that fulfill business needs, including enterprise architecture, application management, security, risk management, infrastructure, and operations management.
