Overview

As our next Business Analyst for the Data Integrity Program, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of court data across Washington State. This is more than just a job—it’s an opportunity to make a difference in the justice system through technology and innovation. In this role, you will analyze and resolve data quality issues that impact court operations, work closely with technology teams to design solutions that improve data integrity, and document best practices to maintain high-quality data standards.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze and interpret data for quality assurance and reporting, identifying patterns and trends.
  • Query and evaluate databases, performing in-depth research on complex applications and systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs, processes, and expectations for data quality standards.
  • Translate business requirements into user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, and maintain documentation.
  • Act as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure requirements are clearly defined and implemented.
  • Review test results to confirm acceptance criteria and recommend enhancements to court business processes.
  • Develop and maintain requirements traceability matrices for effective requirement management and reuse.
  • Prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and deliver high-quality work within deadlines.
Qualifications
  • Eight (8) years of information technology experience, including three (3) years of direct experience as a business analyst and/or court user subject matter expert performing business analysis activities.
  • Alternate options include:
  • Associate degree in computer science, information systems or related discipline with six (6) years of IT experience including direct BA/court SME experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or related discipline with four (4) years of IT experience including direct BA/court SME experience.
  • Master’s degree in computer science, information systems or related discipline with one (1) year of direct BA/court SME experience.
  • Relative IT experience includes systems and software requirements development, software or systems development following the SDLC, and project management practices.

The above are examples of acceptable pathways; specific degree/experience combinations must meet the stated requirements.

    Range 68: $84,984 - $111,504 per year (DOQ)

  • Duration:
    This project position is currently funded through June 30, 2027.
  • Work eligibility: AOC requires Washington State residency; in-office presence is required at least two days per week.
Important Information
  • The workweek may fluctuate depending on workload or agency needs.
  • Overnight travel may be required based on business needs.
  • This position is not overtime eligible.
