Salary: $5,011.00 - $6,735.00 Monthly

The opportunity is with the DCYF Labor Relations unit, working to provide timely, accurate, and consistent information flow and professional support to three Labor Relations Consultants who serve as Department representatives on Demands to Bargain and on Bargaining Teams. This position serves as the point of contact for internal and external customers seeking information and assistance related to the functions and activities of the DCYF Labor Relations section.
The position supports the DCYF mission by providing timely, effective Labor Relations services to DCYF team members and other DCYF staff.
- Maintains filing and tracking system of labor relations activities.
- Acts as the main contact for labor relations email communications.
- Supports grievance and arbitration proceedings.
- Serves as Statewide Union Management Communication Committee (UMCC) Compliance Coordinator.
- Creates, maintains, and distributes operating guidelines and information for internal business partners.
- Equivalent education and experience totaling five (5) years of progressively responsible, paid, professional experience in Human Resources or related field.
OR
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) with focus on business, human resources, social or organizational behavioral sciences, or related field AND One (1) year of professional human resource experience.
* Professional human resource experience means working full time as a human resource professional performing HR functions.
* Additional professional human resource experience may substitute, year for year, for required education.
- SHRM-CP/SCP, SHRM-SCP, or other professional HR certifications.
- Six months or more experience using NEOGOV and HRMS.
