Overview

We are hiring a full-time Patient Services Lead to join our Radiology Practice. The Patient Services Lead oversees the daily operations of the Patient Services team, ensuring high standards of quality, productivity, and patient satisfaction. This role functions as an active Patient Service Representative in a lead capacity, providing hands-on support and guidance to the team. Serving as a subject matter expert, the Patient Services Lead ensures accuracy, efficient workflows, achievement of performance metrics, and compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

This role also fosters collaboration, coaches team members, and promotes a positive patient experience through effective communication and continuous improvement.

Location: Olympia, Washington. The area is geographically located between the salt waters of the Puget Sound and the Fresh waters of Budd Inlet and the Deschutes River, with views of Mt. Rainier and the Olympic Mountain range.

Compensation: The pay scale is $25.10 - 30.24 - $36.29. Pay is influenced by factors specific to the applicant’s job-related experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm. This is an in-office position in Olympia, WA.

Position Summary

The Patient Services Lead provides leadership and day-to-day oversight of the Patient Services team within a high-volume imaging center. This role is responsible for ensuring exceptional patient services, with a strong focus on quality, productivity, patient experience, and regulatory compliance. The Patient Services Lead serves as a subject matter expert.

Responsibilities
  • Operations:
    Provide guidance and direction in the daily processes and workflow of the front office and scheduling functions, utilizing effective communication to ensure efficient operations, accurate imaging scheduling, and optimal patient flow. Monitor productivity, staffing coverage, and performance metrics to support operational goals.
  • Customer Satisfaction:
    Understand and anticipate the needs of patients, referring providers, and internal team members. Effectively resolve service issues and ensure a positive, compassionate, and professional experience for all patients. Demonstrate a strong commitment to service excellence and patient-centered care.
  • Quality and Safety:
    Ensure quality, safety, and regulatory requirements are consistently met. Provide guidance on new policies and procedures, support compliance initiatives, and assist in the development and maintenance of front office standards and best practices.
  • Collaboration and Team Leadership:
    Actively build trust and effective working relationships within the Patient Service Representative (PSR) team and across all areas of the practice. Coach and provide constructive feedback, fostering a respectful, collaborative environment. Encourage team members to identify challenges, propose improvements, and develop creative, consensus-driven solutions that enhance service delivery and operational performance.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience scheduling and reception experience in healthcare in a lead-type capacity. Radiology preferred.
  • Knowledge in medical terminology
  • Must be very proficient in computer skills, multitasking and working with several software programs simultaneously
  • Demonstrates a professional demeanor in appearance and behavior in all work-related interactions
