The Washington Association for Community Health (The Association) is a private, 501 (c)(3) membership association formed in 1985. Our mission is to strengthen and advocate for Washington’s community health centers as they build healthcare access, innovation, and value. The Association provides training and technical assistance directly and through collaborative partnerships to Washington’s 27 Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) in support of the provision of comprehensive, high quality medical, dental, and behavioral healthcare consistent with national health strategies.
At the Washington Association for Community Health, we bring community health centers together to collaborate and expand access to high-quality health care statewide. We help community health centers navigate state and federal policy, provide evidence-based health care, and problem solve as a group. Our services include workforce development programs, technical assistance and training, and policy advocacy.

Position SummaryThe Career Pathways Manager will report to the Director of Career Pathways and has supervisory accountability for the direct training provided by the InReach Career Pathways team. They are responsible for the collaborative development, administration, and quality maintenance of existing apprenticeship/training programs, and any additional healthcare training programs. Much of this position will include activities such as quality assurance, compliance, program evaluation, stakeholder communication, and procedure development.
They will also be supervising a growing team and provide support for several direct reports. Occasional travel is required for the duties of this position.
- Identify and address gaps and/or barriers to program participation, workforce demands, partner feedback, legislation, etc. through sustainable program changes or program policy.
- Conduct regular audits and evaluations of the program to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and guidelines.
- Lead initiatives to continuously improve program processes, services, and outcomes, using feedback from stakeholders and data‑driven insights that address and resolve any issues or complaints related to program quality, working closely with staff and stakeholders to implement corrective actions.
- Manage and mentor supervises, fostering a culture of trust, growth, and development.
- Contract with and manage external consultants or subcontractors such as course instructors.
- Represent the Association’s suite of registered healthcare apprenticeships as a liaison with state and federal regulatory bodies, ensuring all reporting and compliance requirements are met.
- Track student outcomes and disciplinary procedures, including facilitation of the Apprenticeship Committee.
- Assist leadership in the development of grant work plans, program vision, and organizing and facilitating collaboration among staff.
- Provide data to executive leadership when requested to inform the development of progress reports, grant applications, and/or the Association’s annual report.
- Participate in ongoing educational opportunities, such as technical assistance calls and webinars, and state, regional, and national meetings and conferences as warranted.
