Requirement: 1+ years of experience in a similar patient services role in a healthcare setting.
Pay Range: $19.00 per hour to $21.00 per hour.

Job SummaryResponsible for patient food service on assigned units, including menu selections, tray assembly, tray delivery and pick-up, special requests, and in-between meal food delivery.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Exhibits a friendly, caring attitude to patients when taking menu selections, delivering trays, catering rounds, and retrieving trays.
- Takes patients' menu selections prior to each meal.
- Complies with dietary restrictions on special, modified diets to meet dietary order guidelines.
- Offers alternatives to menu as allowed on prescribed diet, considering allergies, cultural, ethnic and religious preferences.
- Assembles trays according to patients' menu selections on tray tickets in a timely and accurate manner.
- Interacts with nursing staff to ensure diet prescriptions are accurate and patients food needs are met.
- Retrieves trays from patients' rooms.
- Maintains accurate and current information for each patient on assigned unit(s).
- Assists dietitian with monitoring of patients who are NPO, on liquid diets, or have a calorie count ordered.
- Communicates patient-related problems/concerns to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
- Adheres to facility confidentiality and patients rights per HIPAA policies.
- Contributes to patient satisfaction goals by providing quality service.
- Follows health, sanitation, and HACCP guidelines; maintains a clean working environment.
- Completes required reports in a timely manner per corporate policies.
- Uses cleaning chemicals per manufacturer directions and MSDS.
- Follows safety, infection control, and Hazardous Materials/Waste Program policies and procedures.
- Participates in Emergency Preparedness and Life Safety programs; performs other duties as assigned.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Computer skills to operate hospital systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
