The PositionWe are looking for a Pelvic Health Physical Therapist who is passionate about patient care and seeks continued growth in their professional skills. Our therapists evaluate, plan, and administer physical therapy treatments to patients suffering from injuries, disabilities, or diseases to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent further injury. This role involves developing treatment plans based on medical referrals and individual patient goals.
Summaryof Duties
- Conduct initial evaluations to assess patient conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Administer manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and patient education.
- Comfortable working with all genders.
- Comfortable treating conditions including pelvic floor weakness/hypertonicity, pelvic prolapses, urinary and bowel incontinence, dyspareunia, vaginismus, pre/post-vestibulectomy, pre/post-hysterectomy, pregnancy/post‑partum, coccyx/tailbone pain, abdominal pain, etc.
- Monitor and document patient progress in a timely manner, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Instruct patients and families on home exercise programs and strategies to improve recovery.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with clinic and regulatory standards.
- Comply with federal, state, and professional regulations.
- Document all assessments, plans, procedures, and pertinent interactions regarding the patient’s treatment in the electronic documentation system.
- Contribute to the efficient running of the clinic by working together as a team and assisting others when needed.
- Keep all patient interactions confidential with informed consent of the patient.
- Doctor of Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current and valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Preferred: 1–2 years of clinical experience in outpatient, orthopedic, or sports rehabilitation settings.
- Certificates desired (preferred through APTA or Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehab Institute):
- Pelvic Function Level 1 – “Introduction to Pelvic Health.”
- Pelvic Function Level 2C – “Men’s Pelvic Health and Rehabilitation.”
- Knowledge and adherence to HIPAA laws and compliance regulations.
- Demonstrated excellence in clinical processes and responsibilities.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, coordinate, and perform a broad variety of tasks and stay focused on objectives in a high‑stress environment.
- Work for extended periods at a video display terminal and use a keyboard to enter and gather information.
- Physical activity including bending, reaching, squatting, lifting, and prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
- Required to work at the IRG clinic and be responsible for personal transportation to and from the work site.
Base salary: $80,000 – $93,000 depending on experience.
Enhanced Compensation:
Therapists can earn up to an additional 20% of their base salary based on clients seen.
