Role OverviewMod Med is hiring a driven Patient Claim Specialist who will play a pivotal role in shaping a positive patient experience within our Revenue Cycle Management team. You will support patients receiving care from Mod Med BOOST service providers and doctors, ensuring their account needs are met with excellence.
Your Responsibilities- Serve as primary contact for all inbound and outbound patient calls regarding balance inquiries, claims processing, insurance updates, and payment collections.
- Initiate outbound calls to patients of RCM clients to address account/payment issues and update demographic and insurance information.
- Input and update patient account information and document calls in the Practice Management system.
- Participate in special projects and other duties that support and enhance customer/patient-facing activities.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Availability: 9:00 am – 6:00 pm PST.
- 1‑2 years of healthcare administration or related experience.
- Basic understanding of medical billing claims submission process and insurance carriers (Medicare, HMOs, PPOs).
- Manage/field 60+ inbound calls per day.
- Bilingual required (Spanish & English).
- Proficiency in business software applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; excellent telephone etiquette.
- Ability to learn quickly, work effectively in a team, remain calm in a demanding environment, and manage time and competing priorities.
