This position is located at the Southside Community Medical Home, Olympia, WA. The facility falls under the supervision of Madigan AMC.

ResponsibilitiesServes as a Physician in a Defense Health Agency (DHA) Medical Treatment Facility (MTF). The purpose of the position is to apply scientific knowledge and clinical expertise to the diagnosis, treatment, and care of patients.
Coordinates with facility and community resources to provide multi‑disciplinary comprehensive care to all patients, taking into account factors such as new and/or emerging procedures and techniques and the patient’s personal history, as well as information gained through diagnostic tests. Applies new procedures in the evaluation and treatment of complex patient cases and conducts research for the advancement of the Family Medicine program and for quality improvement to other providers and patients.
Routinely manipulates, repositions, and assists with patient movements that can exceed 40lbs. Performs emergency services or crisis intervention, including life‑saving emergency procedures when necessary. Promotes preventative and health maintenance care, stresses positive health behaviors and self‑care through education and counseling. Encourages patients to make difficult lifestyle changes to improve their health and provides follow‑up treatment and care to patients to ascertain compliance with therapy and response to treatment.
Provides advice by telephone and/or in person to other physicians, non‑physician providers, and other professional medical staff on the care of patients with urgent, emergent, and nonurgent medical problems.
Makes recommendations on improvement of work methods and organizational features.
Performs Other Duties Assigned.
