The Contract Negotiation Manager negotiates, executes, reviews, and analyzes contracts and/or handles dispute resolution and settlement negotiations with solo, small group, or local providers. The role manages contract performance to support network quality, availability, and financial goals and strategies. Responsibilities include recruiting providers to achieve network expansion goals, contributing to provider compensation and pricing development, and providing subject‑matter expertise on recruitment initiatives, contracting, provider issues, and related systems.
The manager also identifies cost issues, supports cost‑saving initiatives, and designs strategic network configurations, ensuring resolution of escalated issues related to claims, contract interpretation, and provider data accuracy.
- 3+ years of related experience with proven and proficient negotiating skills
- Proven working knowledge of competitor strategies, complex contracting options, financial/contracting arrangements, and regulatory requirements
- Must reside in the Pacific Northwest market (Washington, Oregon, Alaska, or Idaho)
- In‑depth knowledge of the managed care industry and financial/contracting arrangements
- Strong critical thinking, problem‑resolution, and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized and self‑driven
- Ability to forge meaningful, long‑lasting relationships with providers
- Knowledge of Medicare programs and related subject matter

Pay Range$54,300.00 – $
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full‑time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short‑term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
