Responsibilities:
- Prepare and issue accurate billing statements for the organization and its affiliates.
- Process and record incoming payments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct regular account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies in billing or payment records.
- Organize and maintain detailed documentation for all financial transactions.
- Perform month-end tasks, including accounts receivable aging analysis and intercompany reconciliations.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, organizational policies, and accounting standards.
- Support external financial audits and internal reviews by providing necessary documentation.
- Coordinate activities for two volunteer committees, including tracking participation, organizing virtual meetings, and preparing materials such as agendas and minutes.
- Monitor, record, and report Political Action Committee contributions, ensuring compliance with Washington State and City of Seattle campaign finance laws. Requirements - Minimum of two years' experience in billing, accounts receivable, or related accounting roles.
- Proficiency in using accounting software, spreadsheets, and standard office tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
- Effective communication skills for engaging with stakeholders, committees, and external entities.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and internal control mechanisms.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Experience managing volunteer committees or similar groups is a plus.
- Familiarity with Washington State and City of Seattle financial regulations, or willingness to learn quickly.
