Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

• Every other weekend required

• Every other holiday required

• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends

• 12 hours of orientation provided

• Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, ENCP

• 2 years of emergency department experience required

• General ED adult/pediatric emergency room experience required

• Cerner charting system experience required

• First-time travelers accepted with strong Cerner experience

• Previous charge experience preferred

• Care for patients of all age groups: infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics

• Skills include blood product administration, central line care/management, care of ventilated patients, triage, starting and maintaining IVs, emergency medications, procedural sedation administration/monitoring

• Daily census of 90 patients with 39 rooms/beds

• Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, transportation, and unit secretary

The facility features a 39-bed emergency department with modern equipment and interdisciplinary support services. The emergency department maintains high patient volumes with approximately 90 visits per day, offering comprehensive emergency care for patients across all age groups from infants to geriatrics.
