ALL ABOUT ON DEMAND:
You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand Team Member (TM) and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those looking for a personalized work schedule. As an On-Demand TM, you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but you can create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members via the myTime mobile scheduling app.

Reliable and prompt attendance is necessary. You are expected to engage actively by picking up and working shifts at least once every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours). If you do not respond to our attempts to contact you, employment may be terminated. If you do not work at least one shift within 5 months, employment may be administratively terminated.

The target Welcome orientation and short-term training will be required, after which you will use the myTime app to pick shifts.

ALL ABOUT SERVICE & ENGAGEMENT:
Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment, and store cleanliness. Knowledgeable about in-store and digital services and solutions to drive adoption and loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests and assisting with daily tasks.
• Engage with guests to understand and solve their specific needs; be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store.
• Operate the cash register and assist with appropriate checkout procedures; handle returns following policies.
• Provide accurate scanning and bagging of items, maintain food safety standards where applicable, and minimize guest wait time.
• Promote Target loyalty programs and assist guests with enrollment or activation.
• Explain and demonstrate Target Wallet and Target App features and services; direct guests to enrollment and use as needed.
• Assist with order pickup (OPU), drive-up (DU) orders, and registry services; maintain compliance with policies, including adult beverage laws where applicable.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and stock supplies during store hours.
• Collaborate with leaders to de-escalate situations and recover the guest shopping experience as needed.
• Support cash office processes as needed and manage cash systems appropriately.
• Comply with safety policies and training; report hazards and correct where possible.
• All other duties based on business needs.

• You enjoy interacting with guests and assisting team members; able to work in a fast-paced, active environment requiring teamwork and flexibility.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times.
• Strong communication, problem solving, and multi-tasking abilities; patient and attentive to guests’ needs.
• Ability to use handheld scanners and other technology; capable of working independently or as part of a team.
• Accurate cash handling competencies and ability to support cash office operations when needed.
