Overview
Join Ross Stores, Inc. as an Area Supervisor and lead a specific store area while stepping in as Manager on Duty. Ross is a Fortune 500 off‑price retailer with over 2,200 stores and a strong focus on customer savings, merchandise quality and team growth.
Responsibilities- Open and close the store, supervise associates and maintain a friendly, easy‑to‑shop environment.
- Ensure proper merchandise presentation, keep work areas clean and support all front‑end and back‑stock operations.
- Execute and supervise all company operational processes, including safety, loss prevention, customer service and merchandising standards.
- Train, coach and develop associates to meet productivity, quality and customer experience goals.
- Maintain store security, cash office safety, electronic article surveillance (EAS) devices and register controls.
- Oversee daily trash removal, back‑stock organization, fitting‑room cleanliness and all store equipment functionality.
- Process all inbound deliveries, promotional signage and floor moves in compliance with company best practices.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and fluency in English.
- Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
- Familiarity with point‑of‑sale equipment and applications.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
Ability to use all store equipment, including point‑of‑sale terminals, registers and PCs. Spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, moving around the store, regularly bend at the waist, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach and stoop. Occasionally push, pull and lift more than 25 lbs. Use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders and other assigned supplies as required.
