VAS QC Inspector II

The Quality Control Inspector II performs a number of tasks in the assembly area supporting internal and external customer requirements. Tasks include but are not limited to repetitive and moderately complex rework, product testing, and inspection processes. In general, the Quality Control Inspector is responsible for unpacking and testing product, inspecting, performing rework, and ensuring quality of all VAS activities while reporting work status to VAS Manager.

• Assist VAS QA Manager with quality control of all VMI and PRI functions
• Ensures that all quality steps are being executed properly
• Assists in PRI and VMI review and feedback with VAS leadership team
• Escalates failures in rework/manufacturing activities to VAS QA Manager for root cause analysis
• Shall document all serial numbers and archive in a timely manner
• Uses verbal and written instruction for rework, testing, and inspection of product
• Lifts, unpacks, tests, repacks and documents results
• Provides support as requested by VAS QA Manager
• Helps with unpacking and taping of boxes with products
• Moves material with pallet jack or on cart
• Supports safety initiatives and follows all safety guidelines
• Must count parts and product accurately
• Use a computer to perform testing/flashing of products
• Handle test fixtures as directed
• Print labels using any applicable program
• Communicates and reports work status to VAS QA Manager
• Understand, support and execute all work in the established procedures, methods and working requirements
• Implements and maintains department policies and standards
• Perform any other related duties as required or assigned

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Computer literacy required (Microsoft Office, SharePoint, etc.)
• Must be familiar in working with electronic devices

• Ability to read and comprehend procedures and work instructions
• Strong attention to detail and written/verbal communication skills
• Positive attitude, self-motivated and eager to succeed
