Position SummaryThe Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct nursing care to patients receiving behavioral health services. This role partners closely with physicians, therapists, and clinical leadership to ensure safe, compliant, and compassionate treatment delivery while supporting Beacon’s mission, vision, and values.
Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Mississippi
- Minimum of one (1) year of LPN experience; behavioral health experience preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)

- Participate in planning, coordinating, and documenting patient care with the multidisciplinary treatment team
- Accurately assess, monitor, and report patient condition and behavioral changes
- Implement and maintain physician orders and treatment plans
- Complete nursing health screens for all new admissions
- Prepare clinical and progress notes, treatment plan updates, and recertification documentation
- Assist patients with activities of daily living while promoting independence and self-care
- Facilitate nursing psychoeducation groups as assigned
- Participate in case conferences, in-services, and quality improvement initiatives
Ensure compliance with charting, audit, and Medicare documentation requirements - Communicate promptly with physicians regarding patient concerns or changes in condition
- Support performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
