The core responsibilities of this role include: troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of equipment and automated systems within a distribution warehouse facility including conveyors, pallet wrap machines, other warehouse facility equipment, as well as changing forklift and Automated Guide Vehicle (Robotics) batteries in a safe and proper manner. General facilities maintenance, installation and repair.
Position:
Second (2nd) Shift Building Maintenance
Shift: 2:00pm – 10:00pm, Monday-Friday
Pay: $22.00 per hour plus $1.00 shift differential
- Demonstrated knowledge of dematic sorter, visual and sprocket system as well as conveyor systems with the ability to troubleshoot common issues.
- Demonstrated PLC skills for troubleshooting electronics
- Ability to perform general maintenance on AGV (Automated Guide Vehicles) or robotics such as battery or wheel equipment.
- Serve as a point of contact for external contractors and vendors performing work onsite.
- Ability to perform facilities maintenance tasks to include general repair, hanging signage, TVs, assembling furniture, wall repair/painting, repair dock doors and levelers, minor plumbing issues, etc.
- Demonstrate basic Electrical troubleshooting skills and replace warehouse lighting
- Maintain the trash/corrugate throughout the facility and monitor Baler and Compactor>
- Effectively communicate MHE and PIT equipment issues, proposed next steps, and resolution updates to site leadership.
- Documenting unsafe batteries, leaking, over filled, bare wires, and lacking charges.
- Documenting battery numbers, in/out run times.
- Tracking and ordering parts for repairs, tools as necessary.
- Compliance with customer and company safe practices for battery changing.
- Wearing proper PPE equipment.

Responsible for the general maintenance of the building and facilities, including water, heating, air conditioning, and electrical maintenance.
Key Accountabilities- Maintain HVAC system.
- Do minor maintenance as needed for water and electrical repairs.
- Carry out preventative maintenance programs.
- Provide maintenance to material handling equipment to ensure service reliability.
- Perform maintenance or general carpentry on items such as floors, walls, doors, etc.
- Ensure all safety equipment is in proper working order.
- Complete required reports when maintenance tasks are completed.
- Answer security/alarm calls as needed.
Education and Experience
- 2+ years of previous facility maintenance experience.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred.
