We are thrilled to announce that we are hiring a Revenue Accountant to our high performing team. This accounting position is responsible for managing DMC’s Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and revenue compliance functions as well as supporting special projects. This position will be based at the Olive Branch location and has primary responsibility to ensure DMC’s revenue recognition complies with Hubbell policies, internal controls, and US GAAP.

• Perform month-end close routines, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Manage functional areas of responsibility including revenue recognition and ensure activities are executed in a timely and accurate manner in compliance with internal controls and Corporate policy
• Review sales orders and quotes to ensure compliance with revenue accounting standards
• Ensure timely revenue cutoff is achieved at each month-end
• Partner with the business to understand upcoming contract negotiations, diagnose the accounting and reporting, implications in relation to U.S. GAAP as well as implications to the company’s internal control environment
• Work with the accounting and finance team to design effective accounting and reporting processes with an appropriate focus on internal controls
• Draft technical accounting memos, accounting position papers, and control documentation to support the company’s accounting conclusions and processes
• Analyze financial transactions for errors or deficiencies, identify root causes and remediation plans, and implement improvements to prevent recurrences
• Special projects as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related degree, CPA preferred
• Senior finance professional with 3-5 years combined work experience in Big 4 and/or Corporate Accounting
• Knowledge of JDE, SAP, One Stream and Blackline is highly desirable
• Strong working knowledge of ASC 606, its principles, and the application of these principles to everyday revenue-related transactions
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Ability to research and prepare internal memos to support conclusions on technical accounting issues by utilizing Accounting Standard Codification and other technical accounting sources
• Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley control and compliance requirements
• Able to work hands on within the various departments of the organization and communicate effectively up the chain of command
• Highly organized with an ability to work well under tight time constraints and simultaneously manage multiple tasks
