Phlebotomist

Job Description:

• The ENTRY Phlebotomist I serves as a patient-facing representative responsible for providing exceptional customer care while supporting patient check-ins and maintaining a professional lobby environment.
• This role focuses on patient interaction, confidentiality, and process excellence, with training provided to develop phlebotomy skills and grow within the organization.

• Greet patients upon arrival and assist with check-ins using self-service kiosks or handheld tablets.
• Answer patient questions and address concerns with care and compassion.
• Maintain the integrity, organization, and professionalism of the waiting area.
• Assist with coverage during breaks when other phlebotomists are unavailable.
• Perform daily work activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills and participate in phlebotomy training.
• Once trained, perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established procedures.

• Strong ability to handle patients with care and compassion.
• High level of customer service skills.
• Willingness to learn phlebotomy skills and support specimen collection when needed.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.

• One to two years of client-facing customer service experience required.
• No prior phlebotomy experience required.
• Keyboarding and data entry experience required.
