📍 Oldham (Office-Based – Spindles Town Centre)
💰 £36,648 – £39,186 + £2,000 retention payment | Permanent
Ready to make fast, impactful decisions that keep children safe? Oldham is looking for a passionate Duty & Advice Social Worker to join our multi-agency safeguarding team (MASH) and play a crucial role at the front door of Children’s Services.

Based in our modern hub at Spindles in the heart of Oldham, you’ll work side-by-side with partners from Police, Health, Community Safety, Adult Social Care, IDVA and the Prevention Hub to ensure children and families get the right support at the right time.

The Role As a Duty & Advice Social Worker within our MASH, you will:

Respond to contacts and safeguarding concerns quickly and effectively
Gather information from families, professionals and the public
Work collaboratively with partner agencies to build a full picture of risk
Make confident, evidence-based threshold decisions
Ensure children and families are directed to the most appropriate support or protection

You’ll need a solid understanding of statutory social work duties and the confidence to make informed safeguarding decisions in a fast-paced environment.
