We’re looking for dynamic Youth Workers to join our ambition of helping young people thrive and families flourish as part of the Families First Partnership Programme in Oldham.

The Families First Partnership Programme is a once in a generation chance to reshape Children’s Social Care alongside council colleagues, education, police, health voluntary, faith, community groups and most importantly our residents, to change and improve our offer of help and protection. - Develop and deliver high quality youth work in communities across Oldham, aiming to meet the identified needs of young people.
- Lead on planning and delivering high quality youth work for young people in a variety of settings, using a variety of youth work methods.
- Work directly with young people in the planning and delivery of projects that will challenge, stimulate and provide new learning opportunities.
- Lead delivery of universal and targeted youth work sessions within and alongside schools, community organisations and partnership agencies
- Safeguarding and compliance - ensure all work complies with safeguarding policies and procedures.
To succeed in this role, you will:
- Hold a relevant Youth / Community Work qualification or willing to work towards (JNC for Youth & Community Work qualified at Level 2 equivalent or above or willing to work towards
- Have experience in Youth Work - proven experience delivering activities, interventions, or support that promote wellbeing, resilience, and positive life choices.
- Have strong relationship-building skills, an ability to engage, motivate, and build trust with young people and families from diverse backgrounds, creating a safe and supportive environment.
- This role will involve working evenings, weekends and residentials as required.
