Mobile caretaker

Your new company
Working for a well-respected social housing contractor across Manchester on a permanent contract.
Your new role

Carry out daily and weekly caretaking duties across housing blocks and estates
Clean communal areas, including stairwells, landings, foyers, lifts, and bin stores.
Remove bulk waste, fly‑tipping, and litter from communal spaces
Complete minor repairs and small maintenance tasks (e.g. tightening hinges, adjusting doors, replacing toilet seats, changing light bulbs)
Carry out health & safety checks, fire door checks, and record inspections
Report hazards, vandalism, ASB issues, and property defects to the office.
Ensure bin areas and recycling points are tidy and accessible

What you'll need to succeed

Previous experience in caretaking, cleaning, facilities, grounds maintenance, or housing maintenance roles
Ability to carry out basic repairs and use hand tools safely
Strong awareness of site safety, cleanliness, and safeguarding responsibilities
Full UK driving licence What you'll get in return
