Equipment Technician

Competitive Salary | 42 hrs/week | 4 on/4 off rotating days/nights

(Days 7am–7pm / Nights 7pm–7am)

A well established Manufacturer in Oldham is looking for a hands‑on Shift Equipment Technician to join a high‑tech manufacturing environment. You’ll work across a variety of processing equipment, keeping tools running at peak performance and supporting production and process teams to deliver high‑quality outputs.

• Carry out preventative, predictive, and breakdown maintenance on a wide range of equipment
• Troubleshoot and perform hands‑on repairs to maximise uptime
• Collaborate with Production, Process, and Equipment Owners to improve efficiency and yield
• Follow cleanroom, safety, and environmental protocols at all times
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance and reduce costs
• Maintain 5S standards and drive improvements in your area

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills
• Hands‑on experience with preventative, predictive, and breakdown maintenance
• Ability to read and follow technical diagrams and manuals
• Health & Safety awareness with experience in regulated environments
• Team player with the ability to work independently and proactively
• Experience in medical devices, vacuum systems, or military/aviation engineering is a plus
