Lead Engineer (Electrically Biased) - Oldham

Competitive Salary | 42 hrs/week | 4 on/4 off rotating days/nights (Days 7am-7pm / Nights 7pm-7am)

We're looking for a hands‑on Lead Engineer to join a high‑tech manufacturing environment, leading a team of Equipment Engineers, Technicians, and TPMs. You'll combine technical expertise with leadership to maximise equipment uptime and meet production targets.

• Lead, motivate, and develop a skilled engineering team
• Plan and allocate daily work to match production priorities
• Perform hands‑on maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvements on wafer fab equipment
• Collaborate with Production, Process, and tool owners to maximize efficiency
• Ensure compliance with safety, cleanroom, and environmental standards
• Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives

• HNC or above in Electronic, Mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Strong knowledge of wafer fabrication equipment and processes
• Hands‑on experience with preventative, predictive, and breakdown maintenance
• Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
• Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills
• Leadership & Management, 6S, and cleanroom experience - desirable
