Smile Education is recruiting for a Food Technician to support the Design & Technology department within a secondary school in Greater Manchester. It is ideal for candidates with a background in catering, hospitality, food preparation, or school technician work who are looking to gain experience in an education setting.

• Prepare ingredients and materials for food technology lessons
• Maintain and organise kitchen equipment and classroom resources
• Ensure food hygiene and health & safety standards are followed
• Support teachers during practical lessons with classroom set-up and clean-down
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies

• Experience in food preparation, catering, or hospitality environments
• Knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety procedures
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively within a school environment
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
