A welcoming and well-regarded Primary School in Moston is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join their team from April. This is a full-time position, ideal for a teacher who is confident delivering the Key Stage 1 curriculum and building strong relationships with pupils at this important stage of their development.

• Full responsibility for planning, delivering and assessing the Year 1 curriculum
• Creating engaging, creative and inclusive lessons that meet the needs of all learners
• Supporting pupils as they transition from EYFS into Key Stage 1
• Monitoring pupil progress and using assessment to inform teaching
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Working closely with teaching assistants, colleagues and senior leaders
• Contributing to staff meetings, planning sessions and wider school life

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Have experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (Year 1 experience desirable)
• Have a strong understanding of phonics and early reading
• Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
• Be committed to high standards of teaching and learning
• Be enthusiastic, reliable and a positive team player
