The Blue Coat School is part of the Cranmer Education Trust, a growing Trust of 10 schools in Oldham and Rochdale. The Trust supports teacher training and professional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver the core curriculum for Computer Science at Key Stage 3, 4, and 5.
  • Plan, assess, and review outcomes and progress.
  • Engage all pupils across the age and ability range.
  • Play a lead role in improving the department’s provision.
  • Commit to personal and professional development.
Required Qualifications and Experience
  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience of teaching Computer Science.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the Computer Science curriculum at Key Stage 3 and 4 and experience or an interest in teaching at Key Stage 5.
  • Flexible and perceptive classroom practitioner.
  • Team player with a can‑do approach.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to development.
