Teaching Assistant

Key Responsibilities

• Support classroom teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.
• Work with small groups of students to provide targeted academic or pastoral support.
• Assist students with their learning activities, ensuring understanding and engagement.
• Help to manage classroom behaviour and create a supportive atmosphere.
• Prepare classroom resources and assist with administrative tasks as required.
• Supervise students during various activities, including break times and transitions.

• Have a genuine passion for working with children and young people.
• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be adaptable, patient, and demonstrate a proactive approach.
• Follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Ideally have some experience working in a school environment (although this is not always essential).
• Be committed to upholding professional standards and safeguarding practices.
