Overview
Registered Nurse – ICU/ CCU – Old Bridge Medical Center, Full Time, Nights.
Location:
Old Bridge, New Jersey. Requisition #
- Deliver nursing practices according to current evidence-based research, policies, and standards of care to provide safe, individualized patient care.
- Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or the situation.
- Perform age- and disease-specific assessments and data collection, focusing on physiologic, psychological, and cognitive status.
- Identify changes in clinical and diagnostic status; recognize and respond to shifts in patient condition.
- Develop and coordinate an individualized plan of care with patient/family goals, including education tailored to age, disease, and cultural factors.
- Coordinate and communicate the plan of care among nursing peers, physicians, and support services; provide ongoing updates to patient/family and the health care team.
- Administer medications using current bar-scanning and documentation technologies; ensure safe delivery of medications.
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary discharges to ensure safe transitions and continuum of care.
- Evaluate progress toward expected outcomes and initiate appropriate interventions for changes in condition.
- Maintain competencies and continuing education to meet accreditation or licensing requirements; adhere to the American Nurses Association Code for Nurses.
- Demonstrate ethical practice and contribute to patient satisfaction opportunities.
- Adhere to organizational competencies and standards of behavior; perform other duties as assigned.
- Lifts, pushes/pulls, and stands as required by job duties (physical requirements per policy).
Education, Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities
Required
- Minimum:
Associate degree in Nursing or nursing diploma; BSN in progress and/or plan to acquire within three years of hire (policy notes may apply). - Six (6) months or more of relevant nursing experience or active participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.
- Ability to learn quickly, strong accountability, teamwork, ongoing education, and patient-focused care.
- Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work at the assigned HMH location; BLS/CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
Education, Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities
Preferred
- National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.
Licenses And Certifications Required
- Current RN license to practice in New Jersey.
- BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association) required within 60 days of hire.
- Minimum rate of $44.24 hourly; compensation is part of a broader market-competitive total rewards package.
