Responsibilities- Provide a safe environment for patients on one‑to‑one supervision for suicide precautions, behavioral restraints, line of sight or patient safety.
- Work in situations with isolation precautions.
- Perform frequent checks on patients with a Patient Watch Order.
- Give direction to patients to prevent falls or wandering.
- Record and document patient behavior.
- Travel with patients when needed.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
- Adhere to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
- High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), or equivalent.
- Ability to remain mobile and stand for periods of time.
- Work in isolation precautions settings.
- Previous work experience in a hospital setting.
- Experience as a Patient Care Technician, Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, EMT, Nurse Aide Training, or current Nursing/Psychology student.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) required prior to performing patient observation.
Starting at $17.12 hourly. Compensation is benchmarked against market data and may vary based on experience, education, certification, location, internal equity, and other factors.
Job DutiesAdditional duties may include shift differentials for evening work, performance‑based incentives, bonuses, or commissions. Full‑time and part‑time positions offer a comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision, paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and retirement).
