We are currently looking for an Equipment & Resource Leader to be a part of our commercial restoration team and Service Master’s Large Loss Division, SRM. This role is responsible for the movements, setup, maintenance and tracking of equipment and supplies across North America. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work in our state-of-the-art warehouse based in Olathe, KS.
LocationThis position is based out of our facility in Olathe, KS. There is some travel required (up to 200 days a year) as we respond to emergency services across the U.S.
What You Will Do- Coordinate, deliver, set up, maintain, fuel, and return equipment for assigned projects, ensuring accuracy in equipment records and inventory.
- Handle hauling, installation, and takedown of commercial/industrial drying, HVAC, power generation, and related equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite while providing high‑quality customer service.
- Manage scheduling and timely execution of services, including participation in on‑call rotations involving nights and weekends.
- Order, track, and verify rental equipment and invoices, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
- Follow all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and regulatory standards at the federal, state, and local levels.
- Update warehouse and trailer inventory and complete daily administrative tasks such as timesheets.
- Supervise or support team members as needed and perform additional duties assigned by project leadership.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with customers, team members, and management, and direct temporary workers effectively.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment or vehicle issues (preferred).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, smart devices, and the ability to learn new technology and software.
- Valid state driver’s license required; willingness to obtain and maintain a CDL and complete accurate ELD/drive‑time records.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, complete paperwork, perform simple math, and maintain attention to detail.
- IICRC certifications (WTR, ASD, CDS) and commitment to following all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Ability to meet deadlines, adapt to changing priorities, and perform well under stressful or challenging conditions.
- Willingness to travel, including overnight and extended trips during severe weather events or large‑scale projects.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
