Overview

Paratransit Driver (NON-CDL) – Olathe, KS. You will be responsible for ensuring safe and comfortable transportation for passengers while upholding professionalism and customer service standards.

$25.60 - $28.95 per hour (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Pay Scale). Starting pay is $25.60 with progression to $28.95 over 4 years.

• $1,500 Sign on Bonus

Vacation after 1 year of service;
Paid Sick Leave: 4 days every January 1st.

• Safety-Focused Operations:
  Follow designated routes and schedules, adhere to safety protocols and traffic regulations.
• Passenger Care:
  Provide exceptional care and assistance to passengers, ensuring smooth boarding, comfortable rides, and timely disembarkation.
• Vehicle Vigilance:
  Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, promptly report maintenance issues, and maintain cleanliness and safety equipment readiness.
• Adherence to Protocols:
  Uphold company policies and procedures, including seat belt enforcement, emergency preparedness, and regulatory compliance.
• Other duties as required.

• 21 years or older
• Minimum 3 years of driving experience (personal or professional)
• Experience with a Cutaway van; prior experience with larger vehicles is a plus
• Excellent communication & customer service skills
• Ability to work shifts or flexible schedules
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical; DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 prohibits the use of Schedule I drugs

• Work outside in varying temperatures; 100% of the job is performed outside; work alone in remote locations
• Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours); frequently walk long distances on possible uneven surfaces
• Push/pull up to 75 pounds; lift up to 50 lbs; occasional bending, kneeling, or crouching
• Deal with heavy traffic and exposure to dust, vehicle fumes and noise
