What You'll Do
  • Diagnoses and resolves complex manufacturing and equipment issues (for example, PLC controller commands, machine configuration changes, calibration adjustments) by gathering required information and formulating an action plan.
  • Utilizes diagnostic tools and standard operating procedures to resolve issues.
  • Interprets test results to determine corrective actions.
  • Leverages technical documentation and process knowledge to troubleshoot problems.
  • Engages support teams (for example, maintenance crews, vendor technicians) as needed to assist in resolution (for example, reprogramming or mechanical adjustments).
  • Manages and resolves production incidents, requests, and escalations received through various communication channels (for example, shift reports, email, system alerts, in-person requests).
  • Monitors incident and request queues, categorizes urgency, validates root causes, and coordinates the delivery or installation of assets (for example, spare parts, tooling, consumables) upon approved request.
  • Tracks the status of work orders and downtime tickets, assigns tasks to other teams, escalates as needed, and updates maintenance logs and templates.
  • Identifies trends in recurring equipment failures and process deviations by reviewing downtime and maintenance logs.
  • Determines when a series of issues indicate an underlying root cause, follows escalation procedures based on severity, and communicates trends effectively.
  • Provides analysis and recommendations to resolve systemic issues and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  • Maintains accurate records of troubleshooting activities, corrective actions, and equipment performance to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Supports audits and inspections by providing required documentation and demonstrating adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Leads and participates in teams by using and sharing resources, information, and tools; determining customer needs and business priorities; coordinating and executing work assignments; providing advice, feedback, and support to ensure timelines and work quality are achieved; and modeling and helping others with how to adapt to change or new challenges.
  • Develops, communicates, and implements processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; analyzing and applying information from multiple sources; monitoring progress and results; and identifying and addressing improvement opportunities.
  • Demonstrates, promotes, and supports compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by explaining, guiding, and demonstrating how to apply these in executing business processes and practices; implementing related action plans; using the Open Door Policy; and assisting management with correcting ethical and compliance issues and problems.
