The Continuous Improvement Coordinator is a vital member of the Continuous Improvement Team, responsible for driving and supporting a culture of continuous improvement that aligns with organizational goals. Reporting directly to the Continuous Improvement Manager, the CI Coordinator collaborates with cross‑functional teams to identify, plan, and execute process improvement initiatives and employee engagement opportunities. This position requires an understanding of continuous improvement methodologies, strong analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and train others on process improvement concepts.
Minimum Requirements- Education:
High School Diploma or GED - Experience:
1–2 years working in a lean process - Travel: 10–25% based on company need
- Work Schedule:
7 AM–5 PM, Monday‑Friday. Overtime may be required; work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.
- Strive to become a technical expert in Lean Manufacturing tools and principles including 5S, Visual Management, Standard Work, Value Stream Mapping, Process Mapping, Kaizen, A3, Root Cause Analysis, and Mistake Proofing.
- Participate in the development of the CI Plan to promote a Continuous Improvement culture within the organization.
- Support the CI Team and all organization‑wide Continuous Improvement activities.
- Work with all facilities and departments to identify and quantify potential opportunities for improvement and implement solutions that deliver measurable results.
- Collaborate across all facilities to share best practices and lessons learned.
- Assist in Kaizen events and follow up on action items.
- Develop education materials to deploy throughout the organization to train on Continuous Improvement methodologies and tools.
- Provide coaching through hands‑on facilitation and demonstration of Lean tools.
- Monitor and measure the progress of process improvement initiatives, track key metrics, and report on the effectiveness of implemented improvements.
- Build trust within the organization through direct engagement, problem solving, and relationship building.
- Support Process Development activities through facilitation of Process Flow and Process Mapping activities and act as a mentor to train.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
