Maintenance Associate - Manufacturing; Knife Room, M-F

Overview

Position Summary... What you'll do...

• Operates and maintains knives, sharpening tools, and other cutting equipment.
• Responsible for safely sharpening straight blade knives, specialty blade knives, and whizzard knife blades.
• Regularly inspects knives for any damage and reports issues to supervisors.
• Accurately prepares knife carts for next shift.
• Assists other Maintenance technicians in the repair and maintenance of equipment as needed.
• Cleans and maintains equipment, tools, and work areas.
• Completes work orders, records, logs and other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures.
• Performs minor repairs of building facilities (for example, plumbing, construction, painting).
• Operates material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment.
• Performs lubrication preventive maintenance tasks, according to company policies and procedures.
• Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; using the Open Door Policy; and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
• Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress and information; determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback.
