Overview
Position Summary... What you'll do...
Responsibilities- Operates and maintains knives, sharpening tools, and other cutting equipment.
- Responsible for safely sharpening straight blade knives, specialty blade knives, and whizzard knife blades.
- Regularly inspects knives for any damage and reports issues to supervisors.
- Accurately prepares knife carts for next shift.
- Assists other Maintenance technicians in the repair and maintenance of equipment as needed.
- Cleans and maintains equipment, tools, and work areas.
- Completes work orders, records, logs and other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures.
- Performs minor repairs of building facilities (for example, plumbing, construction, painting).
- Operates material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment.
- Performs lubrication preventive maintenance tasks, according to company policies and procedures.
- Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; using the Open Door Policy; and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
- Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress and information; determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback.
