Position: Cardiac Monitor Technician FT Day

Position Summary

To monitor noninvasive cardiac activity and other clinical parameters of patient populations ranging from adolescence to geriatric by continuous electrocardiographic display and pulse oximetry. The technician is able to interpret the rhythm and perform critical alarm handoff with the nursing unit appropriately. The technician also maintains data related to theissan, and provides daily reports for the patients' permanent medical record via electronic shift report directly into the EMR.

Responsibilities
  • Actively monitors cardiac rhythms and pulse oximetry, reviews history alarms, scans 24‑hour data and performs arrhythmia analysis.

Required Education And Experience
  • High School Graduate
Preferred Education And Experience
  • Certified Cardiovascular Technician School or comparable certification
  • Previous Holter scanning, stress testing, or telemetry experience
Required Licensure And Certification
  • CPR / AED / BLS – other BLS within 14 days
Preferred Licensure And Certification
  • Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) – Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
