IV Pharmacy Technician

AuBurn Pharmacy is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IV Pharmacy Technician to join our team at our Long‑Term Care facility in Olathe, Kansas
. This is a full‑time position focused on the preparation and compounding of sterile intravenous (IV) medications in accordance with state and federal guidelines, company policies, and USP standards.

• Prepare sterile IV medications using aseptic technique in a clean room environment.
• Accurately compound IV admixtures including antibiotics, TPNs, and hydration therapies.
• Maintain compliance with USP and standards.
• Label, package, and document compounded products for delivery to long‑term care facilities.
• Maintain inventory and proper storage of IV supplies and medications.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and other technicians to ensure timely and accurate medication preparation and delivery.
• Follow all safety, infection control, and hazardous waste procedures.
• Participate in training, quality control, and regular audits of the IV room.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Kansas Pharmacy Technician Registration required.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) preferred.
• Prior experience in sterile compounding or hospital/LTC pharmacy strongly preferred.
• Understanding of USP and standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
• Must be dependable, flexible, and committed to patient safety.
