Summer Pastoral Internship

• A believer in Jesus Christ, saved by God’s grace through repentant faith in Him
• A growing Christian who is maturing in both Bible knowledge and personal application
• Completed or pursuing seminary studies and considering vocational ministry
• In agreement with the doctrine and bylaws of Countryside Bible Church
• Able to follow through with people and with tasks
• Availability on weekends and evenings as needed

The Summer Pastoral Intern role is a paid position (lodging included) focused on pastoral ministry at Countryside Bible Church. The Pastoral Intern will work closely with the pastoral staff at CBC, and will especially focus on character, leadership, member care, teaching, preaching, discipling others, and counseling. This role will last one summer (up to twelve weeks).

Discipleship

• Meet regularly with CBC pastoral staff and elders
• Complete a philosophy of pastoral ministry
• Meet with various men and couples from CBC in strategic fellowship
• Observe various counseling, discipleship, and visitations
• Other discipleship opportunities as they arise

Service

• Help serve at special events held by youth ministries
• Help serve with normal Sunday services
• Other service opportunities as they arise

Administration

• Provide administrative support for youth ministries
• Help communicate youth ministries to nearby communities
• Other administrative opportunities as they arise

Teaching and Preaching

• Fill in as needed for children’s, teens, and/or adult Sunday School classes
• Fill the pulpit as needed during Sunday services
• Review lessons and sermons with pastoral staff
• Other teaching opportunities as they arise
